HiPPI

• HiPPI is High Performance Parallel Interface
  (protocol for a 32-bit wide parallel port)
• Serial HiPPI converts this into serial data over fiber
• PCI cards tend to be serial HiPPI... more expensive
• Standard for huge block xfer with supercomputers
• Linux doesn't currently support HiPPI
