Fast Ethernet

• Typically 100 Mb/s (with 1 Gb/s coming soon)
• Somewhat compatible with 10 BaseT 10 Mb/s Ethernet
• For sockets, this is currently best performer
• Cards are cheap, switched hubs are not
• Linux can load share across multiple Fast Ethernets
